He has special interests in Virtual Surgical Planning software, Patient-specific Surgical Guides and Surgical Navigation.
For his final project of engineering he developed an opensource 3D Slicer extension for virtual surgical planning of mandibular reconstruction with vascularized fibula free flap and generation of patient-specific surgical guides. Already being used in surgeries by different research groups from Stonia and Sri Lanka.
He has vast experience in Computer aided surgery software development and has also developed software for virtual surgical planning of pedicle screws and patient-specific surgical guides.
